Apprenticeship Requirements
Projects subjected to California Prevailing Wage regulations (whether solely California, or blended with Federal Public Works) are subjected to the apprenticeship requirements if over $30,000 project total. Contractors must comply if there are working in an apprenticeable craft.

There are two required forms: DAS 140 and the DAS 142.
  • Contractor Compliance, LLC will send the DAS 140 upon project submission.  We may confirm with you if the project has already started or if the project as ended prior to sending.
  • We will need the the DAS 142 Request Form to be completed prior to sending the DAS 142.  The DAS 142 is a dispatch form and we cannot complete it without additional information.
DAS 142 REQUEST FORM
apprenticeable craft list

***I understand that I must complete the DAS 142 Dispatch Request Form for CCS to be able to complete the DAS 142 form.
Failure to submit the DAS 142 Dispatch Request Form will alleviate CCS of any liability of compliance for those documents.

Project total is the total cost to the project owner.  Not the individual contract totals.

Sole-proprietors may have an exemption if they do not have worker's compensation and file taxes as a sole proprietor.

Job-site Postings
Ensure that you have the job-site postings as required by Public Works projects.  There are different regulations depending on the type of funding/administration of the project.
  • Federal Public Works: requires the Prime Contractor to display a variety of documents in an area accessible to all contractors, subcontractors, sub-tier contractors, vendors, workers, employees, owner-operators, etc.  Postings cannot be in a binder, they must be on a posting wall.  Please see the following link for a the complete list of requirements: Federal PW Jobsite Postings.
  • State of California Public Works: requires each contractor, subcontractor, sub-tier contractors to have a job-site binder and/or posting wall.  Please see the following link for a the complete list of requirements: CA PW Jobsite Postings
