California Public Works Administrator Course
Our California Public Works training program is the most extensive, informative, and detailed training available. Broken down into 5-phases, our training features live instruction, videos, templates, and a live instructor who can answer all your questions.
Phase 2: is where we dive into the compliance requirements placed on us by the State of California. This course outlines CCS’s approach to compliance by outlining the steps that a contractor should take for each project. We take you online and teach you how to navigate the DIR website. We go over all the key components - proper wages, certified payroll, apprentice requirements, training fund contributions, and form.
Phase 3: join us for phase 3 to continue your education. During this course, we go into details that will assist your company in making money-saving decisions by showing you how to take credit for fringe benefits. We show you how to calculate overtime and travel time properly.
Phase 4: here is where we take an in-depth look at the different types of projects and how they apply to Public Works. How to best set our office up for success and what internal processes we should consider for smooth compliance. We also talk more about the little nuisances of compliance that can affect projects.
Phase 5: is designed to put everything together. During this phase, we share with you our experiences as a compliance company and allow you to share your experiences and lessons learned with the class. This is an open forum course, the instructor will speak in further detail about the requirements learned in phases 2 and 3 while introducing real-world solutions through provided templates.
Federal Add-On (Davis-Bacon): this is an add-on course that focuses on the federal public works requirements. It is not the complete program, but more of a fundamental course to enhance your public works knowledge. (can only be taken if the previous 4 phases have been taken)
